Geese at Dinton Pastures

Egyptian Goose

This afternoon we took the cameras for a walk around Dinton Pastures.

I was only happy with a few photos of the fifty or so that I took, but it was Paul’s turn with the 300mm lens, so I played around with the 200mm. I lost quite a few pictures to the very shallow depth of field – they would have been lovely shots if only the focus had been in the right place.

We did see a coot and a swan happily installed on their nests, so hopefully we’ll be able to go back and have a look at the chicks in a few weeks’ time.

Gone to a good home.

When I posted a picture of my experimental feather & fan scarf, Sara left a comment to say that she was coveting it. I have more scarves than I know what to do with, so it’s now hers!

By a happy coincidence, she’d already bought the perfect scarf pin, for holding it in place. It’s by South4th on Etsy, who makes all sorts of beautiful wooden pins. I think this little bird is my favourite.

Sara’s also hanging out on Etsy – you can find her at Jombolom, where she makes beautiful quality cards.

Again, I think this little bird is my favourite:

Oh Topshop, how I love thee…

These are Topshop’s “Kameryn” brogues. The pink and black pair have now been moved into their “last chance to buy” section, and in their place the silver, white and pink ones have arrived!

Now I just need to save up £64, and these little beauties can be mine…

More pink brogues!

This month’s Elle magazine comes with a £15 gift card for Kurt Geiger.

Ten lucky winners will have a card worth £1000. Sadly I’m not one of them, or this would have been a much more extravagant post! The catch is that you have to sign over your contact details to both Elle and Kurt Geiger in order to activate the card, presumably to be spammed in perpetuity. Very annoying.

I didn’t see anything I fancied (or could afford) on the Kurt Geiger site, but then I remembered that Elle had an article about wearing men’s clothes, which featured the beautiful shoes above! I definitely can’t afford these, but even if I could, I’ve fallen down the hole of being just one size too small in the feet to be able to wear men’s shoes.

The minute you see a pair of pink suede brogues in a 39, you’ll let me know, right?
