This is going to take ages.
And it’ll need two coats.
The colour is Cuprinol Garden Shades, in Lavender.
I was going to paint the window frames and the doors in Pale Jasmine (cream), but I’m not so sure now. Perhaps it would look better if it was all the same colour.
It’s going to look lovely when it’s finished though – much nicer than having a GIANT ORANGE SHED staring at us and at all the neighbours.
I wonder what the chances are of me being able to finish the front before it rains? Perhaps I shouldn’t have started it on a day when I have to go out in the evening for an extra choir rehearsal, but I had to take advantage of the sun!
That looks fab! I kind of like the idea of the contrast trim, but more purple is rarely a bad thing, and I’m not the one painting it!
I have the same paint for my shed and was really hoping I wouldn’t have to do more than one coat!
Thank you! Bless him, Paul finished painting it for me (including a second coat) while I was at work over the weekend. I still can’t decide about the doors and window frames though. They’re still orange at the moment!
I think it depends on the state of the wood you’re painting onto. My Shed had been previously varnished, and I didn’t bother to sand it, so the paint didn’t take all that well in some places. Where the wood was a lot more weathered or the varnish had worn off, we could probably have got away with only one coat. 🙂
