When Laura came to try on her mock-up, we ummed and aahed about the sleeves, but decided to go for it, and see what happened. As it turned out, Laura preferred the dress without the sleeves, so this morning I chopped them off!

This is Vogue 8470.
The outer layer is a sheer black georgette, flatlined to a layer of red faux habutae. The midriff panel is a printed crepe, and the bodice and skirt are lined with the red. The sleeves are a single layer of georgette.
