Zip-Up Cardigan with Moss Stitch Edging
Aug 18th, 2008 by Claire
This is the first knitting pattern I designed that was a bit more complicated than a scarf!
I owe a great many thanks to Ann Budd - her books helped me a great deal with working out the numbers for all of the different sizes.
As you may have guessed from the title, this pattern is for a zip-up cardigan with moss stitch edging!
It’s knitted on 7½mm needles, which is UK size 1. There isn’t an equivalent US size, so you’ll need to test sizes 10½ and 11, to see which brings you the closest to the correct gauge.
I’ve used Rowanspun Chunky for my example, but you should be able to use any chunky/bulky weight yarn. Again, you’ll need to make sure that you’re getting the correct gauge, and don’t forget to check the yardage to make sure you have enough yarn.
Sizes range from 30″ to 54″ chest.
You can buy this pattern over in my Etsy Store.
