Potato Flower

Today I found out what a potato flower looks like.
If only I could remember which varieties I planted, I could find out the right time to dig them up!
(Seriously… how do you know when your potatoes are ready to harvest?!)
When all the greenery dies, then it is time to dig it up/tip it out of the pot. We’ve had our first earlies already. I want the rest of the salad to catch up, so I can have an entirely home-grown lunch!
That could take some time – the leaves are growing like mad and show no signs of dying just yet! Mine were supposed to be first earlies, but I planted them a bit late. Oops…
I’ve got a lot of learning to do, by the looks of things!
